SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. —

Visitors are arriving in South Lake Tahoe for the holiday weekend, drawn by events and the area's scenic outdoor activities. But visitors are advised to be patient with increased traffic and safety concerns.

"A lot of us just come up here just to have a good time. You know, we're obviously we're with our friends over here," said Andres Ceballos, president of the Devine Car Club from Napa. "We like Tahoe. We like being in the hills, you know, there's a lot of curves, winding roads."

The roads and sidewalks are bustling with cars, foot traffic, and bike riders.
