UNC football will kick off the Bill Belichick era with a Monday night game against TCU on Sept. 1 (8 p.m., ESPN) at Kenan Stadium.

The Tar Heels are 3-0 in the all-time series against the Horned Frogs and 4-0 in their last four openers with head coaches making their debut. Belichick, a 73-year-old coach with nearly 50 years of NFL experience and six Super Bowl championships as head coach of the New England Patriots, is facing a Sonny Dykes-led program that played for a national championship a few seasons ago.
