SALISBURY, N.C. — An investigation is underway in Salisbury after police found a man dead following reports of a home invasion.

Around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Salisbury Police Department officers responded to reports of a home invasion and shooting on Klumac Road, not far from the intersection of South Main Street and Mooresville Road.

When officers arrived, they found a man inside the home who was confirmed to have died.

Alcohol Law Enforcement agents were already in the area, and worked with police officers to secure the scene.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Jabreel Kzarion Russell; his family has been notified.
