LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - Scattered showers and thunderstorms will roll through the area this morning bringing heavy rain and lightning. Minor flooding will be possible where heavy rain sits over the same areas through midday. Temperatures will hold in the 80s throughout the day. Pop-up storms will continue through the afternoon hours. Rain will come to an end for the overnight hours with high humidity and temperatures in the 70s. Sunday will see a few thunderstorms around and highs near 90 degrees in the afternoon hours. Labor Day will be a fairly typical summertime day with a pop-up storm or two and highs in the 90s.
