LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - A weak boundary has sunk southward along the coast today taking most of the rain away from Acadiana. Winds will stay out of the north overnight, but humid air will remain. Sunday begins with warm and humid weather. Temperatures warm quickly to near 90 by the afternoon hours. A few storms will be possible, mainly along the coast where the boundary stalls out. Labor Day looks to be hot and mostly dry with temperatures in the 90s and only an isolated storm chance in the afternoon.
In the tropics, we are following a tropical wave exiting the African coast has a low chance of development as it works its way westward in the Atlantic. We have plenty of time to monitor it and there are no threats to Acadiana for the foreseeable future.
Locally, we will keep summer weather
