A 53-year-old tourist has died after collapsing on the Frozen ride at Disneyland in Hong Kong. The incident occurred while he was enjoying the attraction with his wife, who noticed he had fallen unconscious. She quickly alerted the staff, and first aid responders boarded the ride to perform CPR.
The man was subsequently rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. A spokesperson for the resort expressed condolences, stating, "The resort deeply regrets the passing of the guest and will do its utmost to provide necessary assistance to his family."
Initial investigations indicate that the incident was not related to the safety of the ride. Police received a report of the situation at 10:18 am local time. The man's wife informed authorities that he had pre-existing health conditions, including a history of heart disease and high blood pressure. The death has been confirmed by the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong.
