The following is a letter I sent to Utah Gov. Cox asking him to not deploy the Utah National Guard in a law enforcement role in other states:

I am writing to implore you to not deploy the Utah National Guard at the behest of President Trump with the purpose of occupying other states and American cities. This is not the appropriate use of the Utah National Guard, as military units should not be used in a domestic law enforcement role, a position that is rooted deeply in American history.
