The Miners football team readied all week for reigning 3A champion Morgan, thinking they had what it took to bounce back from a week two defeat at home to 4A powerhouse Ridgeline. Unfortunately for Park City, they fell just short again this week, losing to the Trojans 24-21 on the road Friday night.
The Miners started things off strongly, opening the game with a late first quarter rushing score by Nikolas Morgan. The Trojans responded with a touchdown of their own, just before the half, to even things up. Park City would add touchdowns in both the third and fourth quarters, however their opponents found the end zone three more times.
The winning Morgan touchdown came about halfway through the fourth quarter, on a short rush by quarterback Owen Gilson. The Trojans missed three extra point
