VANCOUVER – At nearly 80 years old, Vancouver resident and great-grandmother Shirley Romig is still chasing thrills — and changing lives.
On Aug. 24, Romig put her passion into action jumping out of a plane in Molalla, Ore., at 14,000 feet, using her annual skydive to raise $14,000 for Shared Hope International, a global anti-trafficking organization headquartered in Vancouver.
Romig’s leap takes a stand for children at risk of exploitation.
“I believe that there is not one person who is too old or too young to make a difference if they put their mind to it,” Romig said. “Please join me. Stand up. Learn to speak out. Let’s put up a fight against child sex trafficking together.”
All funds from Romig’s fundraiser will go to Shared Hope International, which works locally and worldwide to
