On Thursday evening, the Micah Parsons saga came to a shocking end with a blockbuster deal to the Green Bay Packers. In the aftermath of the trade, one celebrity noted that the star linebacker's disconnect with the franchise stems farther back than this offseason.
Dating back to the spring, Parsons and the Cowboys have been at odds over a contract extension. This carried on through training camp and the preseason with no end in sight. Then, a week before their season opener, Dallas decided to move on from the star linebacker.
In exchange for Parsons, the Cowboys netted Pro-Bowler Kenny Clark and a pair of first-round picks. Along with landing the All-Pro linebacker, Green Bay is signing him to a historic four-year deal worth $188 million.
