Cloud9 squandered a two-map lead but still emerged with a 3-2 win over Disguised to start the playoffs on Friday in the League of Legends' Championship of The Americas North 2025 Split 3 at Los Angeles.
The win sends Cloud9 to the lower-bracket semifinal next week against the victor of the Saturday match between Team Liquid and 100 Thieves.
Shopify Rebellion and FlyQuest will meet in the upper-bracket final on Sunday, with the winner earning a berth in the grand final on Sept. 7.
Playoff matches are best-of-five. The top three teams will qualify for the LoL Championship of The Americas, scheduled for Sept. 13-28 in Allen, Texas, and the winner qualifies for the World Championship that begins Oct. 14 in China.
On Friday, Cloud9 opened with a 34-minute win on blue and a 28-minute win on
