After a week-long road trip, the Detroit Tigers return home for a three-game interleague series against the New York Mets next week.

Monday’s contest will be the Tigers’ first game at Comerica Park in eight days. Detroit was away from home, having been tasked with taking on the Athletics and the Kansas City Royals.

Before beginning their three-game series against the Royals on Friday, the Tigers had a poor showing in California. In the team’s first trip to Sacramento, Detroit was vastly inconsistent against one of the worst teams in baseball, dropping all three games against the Athletics, losing by a combined score of 22-9.
