The Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Dive Team has rescued overturned paddle boarders, survivors of a deadly flood, and even large vehicles from bodies of water across the district.

Although the dive team hasn’t rescued anyone since last year , staff members have been training to prepare for what’s next and held their most recent session this past week, Aug. 26-28, at Lake Loveland.

Joined by a member of the Berthoud Fire Protection District, Loveland Fire Lt. Jason Tanner led the team through a Recovery Training, which went over retrieving a body from water.
