MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI - Housing, park and commercial developments moved forward this past month in Muskegon County.

The city of Muskegon approved tax breaks for two developments that are transforming blighted sites into something new - a housing development and a factory expansion.

Plus, Muskegon County commissioners are seeking developers for a project that would make a Lake Michigan park more accessible to visitors.

Tax break awarded to Muskegon-Central Park apartments

The Muskegon City Commission unanimously approved the commercial rehabilitation certificate for a 144-apartment development on Aug. 12.

The commercial rehabilitation certificate allows the property’s taxable value to be frozen for 10 years at what it is pre-construction and improvement.
