The SoCal Beep Baseball Association, an organization that provides people who are visually impaired with the opportunity to play baseball, will present a Dining in the Dark fundraiser Oct. 4 at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 600 N. Garey Ave., Pomona.

At the event, participants will have a three-course meal in complete darkness, with visually impaired servers guiding them through the experience. The dinner is designed to heighten the senses of taste, smell and touch and give participants an appreciation for the challenges faced by people with visual impairment, according to a news release.,

The event begins with a 6 p.m. reception with light refreshments, not in the dark, with a chance to mingle with fellow guests and learn about the SoCal Beep Baseball Association.
