The Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) is celebrating its 2025 Overdose Awareness Day event by handing out free Narcan kits throughout Trumbull County.
Over 24 locations are participating.
According to a news release, this is the third year that ASAP has hosted the event, aiming to distribute 1,500 Narcan kits.
In 2024, Trumbull County recorded 347 non-fatal overdoses and 61 fatal overdoses.
The kits are provided by the Trumbull Combined Health District.
"Overdose Awareness Day allows us to not only distribute these life-saving kits throughout the community, but also raise awareness of fentanyl overdoses. By providing education and resources, we can make an impact on overdose deaths in our community and, most importantly, save lives," said Corrie Darocha, ASAP Coalition Co
