Christine Mackay is known for starting early and leaving late.
For the past 11 years, Mackay has been the community and economic development director for the city of Phoenix and “led the creation of more than $190 billion in capital investment and” more than 100,000 new jobs, according to a press release.
Now, Mackay will become the new president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, the group announced on Thursday.
In June, Chris Camacho, former president and CEO at GPEC, announced he was leaving the role leading the regional group tasked with being the main business attraction agent for all Valley cities.
