Marie Kyle, East Area Manager of Hamblen County Schools, received a second award this year as she was named State School Nutrition Manager of the Year.

According to Superintendent of Schools Arnold Bunch, Kyle was nominated, evaluated on the atmosphere in the cafeteria, management and staff development, school nutrition environment, community outreach and credentialling of all employees. All candidates were reviewed by a panel. After winning the district competition, she went to the Southeast Regional competition and won.

“This is a really big accomplishment,” Bunch said. “She’s done a really good job representing our district.”

Kyle was humbled to receive the state award.
