Former I'm A Celebrity star Lord Charles Brocket faces sex offence charges including rape and sexual assault. The 73-year-old aristocrat stands accused of incidents which allegedly took place during a period in May this year.

Brocket, who secured fourth place in the 2004 edition of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, attended Westminster Magistrates' Court facing two rape charges and one count of sexual assault by penetration.

No pleas were entered during proceedings, and he received bail pending his appearance at Isleworth Crown Court on September 26, our sister site, the Liverpool Echo reports .
