SCHENECTADY — Heading into the 2023-24 academic year, hundreds of students throughout Schenectady County were at risk of being excluded from attending school because they weren’t up to date on their state-required vaccinations.
Many families at the time were struggling to track down a primary care provider and schedule an appointment to get their children vaccinated before a state-imposed deadline amid a push to move inoculations away from the public health arena into the realm of primary care.
