Sir Keir Starmer ’s summer holiday in Scotland earlier this month hardly got off to the best start after it was interrupted by an emergency summit with EU leaders, hosted by Donald Trump on the other side of the Atlantic.
With parliamentary recess ending on Monday, a presumably not-so-rested Starmer is facing an equally disruptive September – and severe post-holiday blues.
