GHENT, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Philmont man has been arrested after he allegedly brought a ghost gun onto school grounds in Ghent, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. Jeffrey Moran, 27, of Philmont faces several felony weapon charges.

Just before 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, sheriff's deputies responded to the area of County Route 21C near the Hawthorne Valley Farm after a report of a man driving back and forth yelling obscenities. Upon arrival, authorities allegedly found a Ford pickup truck in the Hawthorne Valley Farm parking lot with an AR-15-style rifle -- later identified to be a ghost gun -- sitting inside in plain view.

The driver, Moran, had not been at the scene when authorities arrived and was located later, the sheriff's office said. After an interview by investigators,
