ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Pickles, a usual feature for a summer picnic, became the main dish at one local festival.

People were drawn to Lakemont Park to attend the second annual Picklepalooza. The event helps benefit the Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE), a group dedicated to promoting motorcycle safety and education.

Throughout the main parts of the park, stands of crafts, food, and drink vendors offered different pickle-themed items, like cocktails and spicy brine. Other pickle festivals have been a hike for local residents, but having one in their backyard makes it worth it.
