BRANDON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Day one of the World of Outlaws racing was cancelled, but racers were out at Huset’s Speedway Sunday night competing for a $25,000 cash prize.

David Gravel led the majority of this race but Buddy Kofoid took over the first place position, the driver out of California only needed that lead for four laps and he would hold on to it.

Buddy Kofoid said, “Early on I didn’t think the track would open up like that and slid back to fourth, made a mistake giving up that position. Just got to moving around I knew we needed traffic but Dylan and Nate and Gage do a phenomenal job I’m at a loss for words here.”

Earlier this summer he won two races at Huset’s winning $350,000 combined.
