STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.— High school football is back — and perhaps the Port Richmond Raiders are, too.

After enduring a winless 0-9 campaign last fall, head coach Lou Vesce’s squad, behind Kasiem Cromwell’s four touchdowns, opened this season by snapping its skid with a 27-8 non-league victory over McKee/Staten Island Tech, kicking off an historic tripleheader at SIUH Community Park on Saturday.
