BELLETONTAINE NEIGHBORS — Ritenour used explosive plays to roll past Riverview Gardens 49-0 on Saturday morning in the season-opening football game for both teams.

Huskies senior Fate Finley had a 63-yard reception. Junior Montrey Banks caught passes for 25 and 40 yards. Senior Troy Jackson caught a 29-yard pass.

On the defensive end, junior Dillion Williams took an interception to paydirt, good for 63 yards.

“We’re an explosive football team,” Ritenour coach Yarmon Kirksey said. “We’ve got a lot of speed. Once we get our guys open in space, they can score from anywhere.”

Junior quarterback Anthony Odom completed 10 of 19 passes for 208 yards.

Odom threw for two touchdowns and he was not intercepted or sacked. Last year, he passed for 1,418 yards and 13 TDs.
