(KRON) — Verizon customers are reporting cell phone service outages in the Bay Area and around the U.S. Saturday.
According to the Downdetector website, nearly 23,000 people reported a service outage shortly after 12:30 p.m. The outages continue.
According to Verizon’s network support webpage, the company is experiencing a software issue.
“We are aware of a software issue impacting wireless service for some customers,” Verizon’s network support page reads.
