ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — For years, Carroll Hollow Road has been an area of concern for drivers. Now, Anderson County District 4 Commissioners Tim Isbel and Shain Vowell are trying to address the problems.

"We have tractor trailers, combination trailers and trucks that's coming down Carroll Hollow," said Isbel. "The GPS is showing them that way as a different route, and then when they try to turn onto 25W left, they actually block the intersection."

Isbel and Vowell said it takes hours to remove stuck vehicles from the road; one of the most recent removals took nearly six hours.

People who live on the road said this is a common problem, as are crashes. Sherry Sexton lives off Carroll Hollow Road. She said her family has been in multiple crashes at the intersection of Carroll Hollow and
