A salmonella outbreak linked to eggs has sickened 95 people across the United States, leading to a voluntary recall of the California product available around the country, according to federal agencies.

Country Eggs, LLC, of Lucerne Valley, California, is recalling its Large Brown Cage Free Sunshine Yolks because it has the potential to be contaminated with salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems, according to the announcement by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
