A man suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds during an assault in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.

Officers were dispatched at about 8:20 p.m. Friday to a report of a stabbing in the 5400 block of Atlantic Avenue and found the victim with wounds to his upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

Paramedics took him to a hospital. No suspect information or further information was immediately available.
