Orange County Fire Authority firefighters were able to prevent a garage fire from spreading to the attached home and nearby houses in Lake Forest Saturday.

The burning garage was on Rue Monet, and doorbell video showed one neighbor telling others to get out of their homes, the OCFA showed on social media. “The house is on fire next door!” the neighbor yelled.

The residents inside the burning house were awake and got out with their dog, fire officials said.

One resident was evaluated by firefighter paramedics but did not want to be taken to a hospital by ambulance, officials said.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies helped evacuate neighbors, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
