Hundreds gathered for a Christian concert in Seattle’s Gas Works Park on Saturday, alongside protests but without the clashes or violence that had occurred at a similar event this spring.

Seattle leaders were seeking to avoid a repeat of those confrontations: In May, amid a furious response by counterprotesters who described that rally in Cal Anderson Park as anti-trans and anti-queer, police wielding pepper spray and riot gear had arrested 23 people and accused some of the counterprotesters of assaulting officers.

This time, as the “Revive in 25” concert held by Christian activist group Let Us Worship was winding down around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, there were no reports of major confrontations.
