Edinburgh has something of a unique relationship with gangland culture - with some infamous names enough to strike fear into the hearts of locals.
The city once had a brutal reputation for street gangs. These territorial groups wreaked havoc on their neighbourhoods and included the likes of Young Niddrie Terror, BarOx, Clerrie Jungle and Granton Young Parkie.
One mob known to dominate the Tollcross area was Valdor. In the 1950s, they were known to walk the streets armed with razors - and were no strangers to a brawl or two.
In August 1965, the Sunday Express told their readers of the notorious Valdor gang. Sean Connery's brother, Neil Connery, told readers: "They were one of the toughest gangs in the neighbourhood.
"There were about 15 of them altogether. They roamed the streets and al
