Plenty of Midland families dream of making the short move to the Cotswolds for its rolling countryside and chocolate box villages.
But most are deterred by the hard reality of prices in one of Britain's most in-demand areas, with sold prices averaging more than £500,000 according to property website Zoopla.
Now a pretty cottage is going up for hammer that may offer the dream at an affordable price - if the auction bidding doesn't hot up too much.

The 18th century, grade II-listed Bonnets End in Churchend, Bushley, near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire , will have a guide price of £190,000-plus in a streamed online auction next month.
