WEST UNION, Iowa (KWWL) -- Authorities are trying to determine who fired shots at a Fayette County home overnight.
The family woke up Saturday morning and discovered their UTV had been shot and glass on the property was broken.
Sheriff's officials said the incident happened at a home near West Union late Friday. Someone at the home told investigators they heard a loud noise and the sound of breaking glass around 10:45 p.m.
During the investigation, deputies also found several bullets had entered the house and a machine shed. They believe the firearm used was a .22-caliber semi-automatic rifle.
Authorities are hoping a video from the home's security camera will help them in their investigation.
