PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - The Maize at the Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island opened on Saturday for its 27th year.
Visitors can wander through the five acres of twisting paths. Trivia cards placed throughout the Maize will help guide visitors in the right direction.
FOX 12 spoke with owner Craig Easterly, who explained what makes this year a little different.
“This year’s Maize is, the theme is called ‘Cornlandia,’ we’re just celebrating all things Northwest, the animals, the landscape and everything that makes our area of the world unique,” Easterly said. “People also like - when they’re in the Maize, they like to go through and find the ‘Corn-undrums.’ So, we have these picture signs as you’re walking through, you try to decipher these cartoon pictures, they’re all kinda farm theme related
