Dozens of people took part in a night walk in Santiago on Saturday in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The demonstrators lit candles as a symbol of hope, with the aim of “bringing light to Gaza, to a people resisting in the midst of darkness.”
The 2.5-kilometer march was marked by Palestinian flags, banners, and chants, as the protesters also called for an end to the killing of children in Gaza.
The event also included a Butoh performance in tribute to the mothers of Gaza.
Chile is home to the largest Palestinian community outside the Arab world, made up of descendants of different diasporas that began arriving in the country in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Many identify as Palestinians first and Chileans second, despite having been born on South American soil.
