The Meaford International Film Festival is coming up.
It starts with an “old Hollywood style gala’ on September 18th to start the event. It’s a fundraiser for the Meaford Culture Foundation.
There are filmmaker special guests and interviews as well as curated dinners by local chefs each night.
Featured films this year are, Never Look Away, which is about CNN camerawoman Margaret Moth’s work in war zones and as a trailblazing female photojournalist. It’s directed by Lucy Lawless.
Sister Midnight is a dark comedy about an unhappily married newlywed. It’s filmed in Mumbai and was nominated for a BAFTA award for outstanding debut by a british writer.
