Edinburgh rail passengers are in for massive savings as ScotRail are due to scrap their peak fares.
From Monday September 1, the time of day customers decide to travel at will have no baring on the cost of their train ticket.
The return fare for Edinburgh to Glasgow is set to drop to £16.80 - marking a saving of £15.80 for those travelling at peak times.
Inverkeithing to Edinburgh Waverley will also see peak fares drop by 41 per cent with tickets being priced at £7.40 - a decrease of £5.20.
The Scottish Government is implementing a policy which they say will make train fares simpler, more flexible, and provide better value for money for rail users.
A further aim of the change is to get more people to leave the car at home and travel by rail instead.
