EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) -One person remains in the hospital dealing with serious injuries after they were run over in East Hartford on Saturday night.

At around 9:30 p.m. officers were called to the intersection of Main Street and Naubuc Avenue after a report of a crash involving a pedestrian, the police department said.

When crews arrived, they found a man suffering from serious head injuries.

Officials said the victim was walking on the road when they were run over by the driver of a car.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The East Hartford Accident Reconstruction Team closed the road for more than two hours.

Main Street is now back open and we’re told the driver is cooperating with police.

This incident remains under investigation at this time.
