The rink, known in Ontario Hockey League circles for being dark and somewhat cavernous with its low-slung ceiling and cement-hard boards, has undergone a $3.34 million refresh. Article content

The work involved replacing the ice surface, including the concrete floor and under-slab piping, as well as installing all new arena boards, glass, and safety netting, along with a new brine pump.

The upper concourse was also painted a lighter grey, and arena staff have been busy replacing dressing room doors and benches.
