Good morning Mid-Missouri, and happy Labor Day weekend! Temperatures are on the mild side to start your Sunday. Temperatures are hanging out in upper 60s and low 70s, but its gloomy outside.

Sunday:

Rain returns to the forecast today, but it will struggle to reach the ground. Mostly cloudy conditions will be in place with a few spot showers, primarily to our west. Drier air from the east will help keep our shower chances minimal this Labor Day weekend with most of our rainfall evaporating before it ever reaches the ground. Temperatures for this afternoon with be near 80 with a drop off in temperatures the further west you travel.

Tonight:

Temperatures drop to near 60 overnight tonight with light rain showers sticking around. Jackets will be needed for any late night/ early morning plan
