A Renfrewshire dad has changed his life and is planning his first full marathon after losing 12 stone.
Douglas Clark once tipped the scales at 26st and 11lbs. His size had become a barrier to the life he wanted to live.
Now, the dad-of-three has swapped four XL T-shirts for mediums, completed his first half marathon and recently smashed his parkrun personal best with a time of 27 minutes 15 seconds — something he "couldn't have imagined in a million years".
The 48-year-old is training for his first full marathon next year and is trying to inspire others to achieve things they never thought possible.
He is helping others do the same with his local weight loss group, achieving a collective loss of nearly 60 stone in eight months,
