A Hibs fan has been flown home from Denmark in an air ambulance after he collapsed while supporting his team. ‌

Dougie Sneddon, 69, from Gilmerton in Edinburgh , was in Copenhagen to see his beloved Hibees play against Midtjylland when tragedy stuck on July 24. ‌

After taking unwell, Dougie was admitted to hospital and put in intensive care on a ventilator. ‌

He was transferred to a specialist hospital that treats kidney failure while in Denmark - and his close friend, Peter Manson, has since confirmed Dougie arrived back in Edinburgh via air ambulance on August 11 after spending weeks in ICU.

A fundraiser was launched to raise funds for his family to cover any costs and in total they have raised over £16,000.
