BISMARCK — Authorities have identified motorists in a crash near Bismarck that involved a North Dakota university golf team.
Tina Valeu, 54, of Mayville, North Dakota, Albert Weber, 95, of Linton, North Dakota, as well as one of Valeu’s passengers, were injured in the Friday, Aug. 29, crash on Interstate 94 about 25 miles east of Bismarck, according to a news release. Weber, who was driving a 2017 Ford F150 east on the interstate, tried to turn around at a crossover in the median as Valeu tried to pass him in a 2021 Chevrolet Express Van, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
The van hit the pickup, and those injured were taken to CHI St. Alexius hospital in Bismarck, the release said. The crash reduced eastbound traffic on I-94 to one lane, troopers said.
The release did not identify V
