A boy who died after an incident at a playground in Cheshire has been named as 12-year-old Logan Carter.

His family has also issued a tribute after he was discovered in Wharton Recreation Ground off Ledward Street, Winsford, Cheshire , at around 6.11pm on Friday, with serious injuries.

It is believed he fell from playground "apparatus", police said.

He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

Logan's family said the 12-year-old was a "much-loved son, brother, grandson, great grandson, cousin and friend to many" who "had an infectious personality and a beautiful smile".
