A 12-year-old boy has died after a falling at in a playground.
Emergency crews raced to Wharton Recreation Ground in Winsford, Cheshire, on Friday evening after reports the youngster fell from play equipment.
Despite desperate efforts from paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have now launched an investigation into the tragedy, which happened near Ledward Street.
Cheshire Police confirmed the boy’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers, reports the Mirror.
