CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Guardians posted a statement Sunday announcing the leave extension for pitchers Luis Ortiz and Emmanuel Clase.

According to the statement, the MLB and MLBPA agreed to extend the non-disciplinary paid leave until further notice until the investigation is completed.
The leave for Ortiz was previously extended back in July .
This comes as the MLB continues to investigate Ortiz’s potential involvement in gambling irregularities.
MLB is looking into two pitches Ortiz threw in June in separate games that stood out to a gambling integrity firm.
The amount of wagers on those two pitches to be balls, which they were, was abnormally high.
