SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Yolanda Olejniczak, the woman accused of killing her wife, Cal Fire Capt. Rebecca Marodi, is expected to appear back in court this week.

A readiness conference is scheduled for Wednesday when a judge will decide if the case is ready to be moved to a preliminary hearing or trial.

Olejniczak, who was also identified by law enforcement as "Yolanda Marodi," faces a first-degree murder charge for allegedly killing Rebecca Marodi at their home in Ramona back in February.

Marodi had been found with over 30 stabbing or slashing wounds, according to previous reports. During Olejniczak first in-person appearance in court, law enforcement had described Ring camera footage of the attack where the 49-year-old could be heard pleading for her life.
