CANTON, N.C. — A recent repair and reopening has made over 85 continuous miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway drivable for the first time since Hurricane Helene hit western North Carolina.
According to a social media post by the Blue Ridge Parkway, the road has reopened from milepost 420.2 to milepost 423.2 near Devil's Courthouse. The road has been closed after flooding caused a landslide at milepost 422.
The repairs have restored 85 miles of the parkway from milepost 382 in Asheville to milepost 469 near Cherokee.
